The increased level of juvenile crime is not unique to Queensland. However, in Australia regional cities and towns the impact seems more damaging to the fabric and cohesion of communities. In recent years, hundreds of local groups have been created to voice public concern and seek solutions. There is no doubt that the Queensland election will see political parties, incumbent politicians and candidates sprucing their crime policy but can we be sure any provide real solutions?
